However, one of the top debt management firms in the country, Baines and Ernst, is offering Brits the chance to win up to £8000 to pay off unsecured debts in a free prize draw.
Recent statistics from money charity, Credit Action, revealed that the average amount of debt in the UK is £8002 – a figure which cripples many households as they struggle to meet the repayments.
However, Baines and Ernst is offering the chance to escape from this cycle of unsecured debt – which could include personal loans, credit cards, overdrafts and catalogue bills.
The draw is open to anyone aged 18 and over in the UK and entrants have until midnight on 3rd July 2012 to submit their details. The winner will be selected on 6th July and notified by 13th July 2012.
The money will be paid directly to the winner’s creditors with no alternative cash prize available. The full terms and conditions can be viewed at http://www.bainesandernst.co.uk/win-your-debts/terms-conditions.
Through the free prize draw, Baines and Ernst also hopes to raise awareness about the types of debt solutions available that could help people clear debt and ease financial pressure. It is not uncommon for people to assume that the only way to deal with debt is to go bankrupt without realising there are other, less severe debt services to choose from. Alternative debt solutions include Debt Management Plans, IVAs and Debt Relief Orders. Baines and Ernst has helped people with their financial problems since 1996 and follow the OFT-approved code of conduct.
So go on, give it a whirl – where else will you get the chance to wipe out your debts to the tune of £8,000? Good luck!
